This neat design allows you to use a standard USB memory stick to store data in a microcontroller based system. Memory sticks provide a large volume of low cost, portable, non-volatile memory space. For this application the memory stick simply plugs into the data logger system which acts as a host USB controller and has the ability to log or store all serial data sent to it.

I recently received the data logger kit, but disappointed to see that it logs the data but not actual characters, it stores some funny characters.
e.g., I sent from my 89c51 Tx "Hello Embedded! ..." but received in logging.txt file as ¨)Ãݱ*•¤´€¤¨•«É²•«É²•«É²•#á
when I sent ABCDEFGH, the log file saved ¡È‰¥ä‘‹
